Work Force Development Since its inception, Te Kohao Health has been a major contributor to the practical experience and training for students studying at tertiary institutions. These include: the Waikato Institute of Technology (WINTEC), for nursing students, social workers and counsellors; Te Wananga o Aotearoa, for social workers and counsellors; the Medical Council of New Zealand, for student doctors and general practitioner registrars. Te Ha o Kiritahi Medical Clinic has two Fellows of the Medical Council, one of whom is a general practitioner teacher.
