  • A self referral can be made to Poipoia Te Mokopuna via any of our contact lines

    A comprehensive assessment will help identify the strengths and needs of your Whānau

    Whānau action plan will be written together with you and your Whānau to identify what it would take to make your Whānau successful

    A navigator will be assigned to support your Whānau to implement your Whānau plan and monitor progress towards achieving your outcomes

  • This is a publicly funded service for those who meet the eligibility criteria, please feel free to speak to one of our team members to check if you are eligible

Education & Support for Whānau

  • Who are not currently engaged in formal early learning programmes

  • In need of guidance and support to provide intentional early learning activities for their children

  • Those who need support to develop ideas and activities that incorporate reading, talking and playing in the home and outdoors

  • Poipoia Te Mokopuna aligns with the guiding principles of Ka Hikitia—Accelerating Success 2013-2017, the Māori education strategy, including the Māori potential approach. It is underpinned by the principles of Te Whāriki the Early Childhood Curriculum and is designed to meet Whānau needs and has been developed in consultation with Whānau.
